Mandatory Qualifications

Interns must be 16 years old by June 10th, 2024. River City High School students must have completed at least one course in one of WUSD’s Career Technical Education Pathways. View qualifying courses here. Yolo High School and Washington Middle College students must have a recommendation form filled out by a teacher or counselor. All participants must have also viewed an online informational session about the internships offered by the Home Run team. Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work throughout the summer creating content for the web, social media, and print. Responsibilities include planning, curating, and producing content to be published on multiple platforms.

About the Business

The H2FCP is a partnership of multiple organizations and companies such as Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Shell, Chevron, BP, the California Air Resources Board, etc. The intern will have an opportunity to work with many of these organizations to network and build future connections.

Preferred Abilities

The ideal candidate should enjoy sitting and working behind a laptop for long durations. They should have good reading and writing abilities and enjoy creating content. Social media experience (if they want to produce social media content) or general familiarity with websites is ideal. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn and grow. The intern will work under direct mentorship of the H2FCP Director of Online Communications. It is ideal to have content creation skills but any of these skills can be taught as part of the internship.

Special Project

The intern will have multiple projects to choose on based on their preference. Possible
projects include:
1. Curating information around hydrogen and fuel cell technology and
using that information to update the H2FCP website and social media
2. Producing
graphics to be shared on H2FCP website and social media
3. Producing written and/or
digital content to be shared with stakeholders
