Mandatory Qualifications
Interns must be 16 years old by June 10th, 2024. River City High School students must have completed at least one course in one of WUSD’s Career Technical Education Pathways. View qualifying courses here. Yolo High School and Washington Middle College students must have a recommendation form filled out by a teacher or counselor. All participants must have also viewed an online informational session about the internships offered by the Home Run team. Responsibilities
Resposibilities include:
Supervising and monitoring the children and their safety.
Preparing meals. (We provide breakfast, lunch and snack)
Cleaning up after projects and meals.
Changing diapers.
Teaching the children based on a provided curriculum.
Communicating with parents regarding things such as behavior, the duration of naps and supplies needed.

Here at Bright Beginnings Childcare and Preschool, we prioritize the development and

Interns will be responsible for organizing the preschool lesson plan, as well as creating
a calendar that implements curriculum standards and activities.
Additional Information
As an in home daycare, not only do we provide a safe environment, but we also get
the opportunity teach them responsibilities and self sufficient skills. We will also be
doing many outdoor activities in the summer.
